Mariani Landscape Recommended for
Approval to ISO 9000

We are happy to let you know that Mariani Landscape has reached another milestone in our continuing history. Our quality system has been recommended for approval to the ISO 9000 Quality Standard.

What does this mean? Two years ago, we decided to embark on a more formal journey to world-class quality. Mariani Landscape has always been a company committed to the highest quality output in everything from our work product at our valued client sites to our internal processes. As the company has continued to grow, we saw the benefits to developing a formal, proactive quality system, whereby each of our core business processes would be designed, flowcharted and regularly audited to ensure that what we say we want to do is what we actually do.

Many years ago, the quality movement gathered steam and many industrial companies around the world saw the International Standards Organization, or ISO, standard, as a consistent way to measure quality performance. We believe that we may be among the first in the green industry to seek registration to the ISO 9000 quality standard. We went through a two-year process, in teams across the organization, codifying and trying to bulletproof or improve processes from client billing to project construction, from maintenance of equipment and tools to purchase of materials, from complaint resolution to orientation for new Mariani associates. The standard is rigorous, and so was our effort.

There will be more to come in the next issue of Folio, but we are tremendously enthusiastic about this effort and grateful for the wide-ranging client support of this best-of-breed initiative, all for one purpose: to continuously improve our company and your experience. The milestone of ISO 9000 registration is a marker on the way to our never-reachable destination, yet continuing journey toward world-class performance and excellence.
