The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days 2009
The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program features hundreds of private gardens nationwide beginning in April and continuing through November. In 2009 one of Mariani Landscape’s very own gardens will be featured in the Open Days 2009 schedule. The Metzler Garden will be featured on Sunday June 28, 2009 from 10am-4pm. Designed by John Mariani, the Metzler Garden is comprised of many varieties of prairie plants. The north border is lined with daffodils, iris, echinacea, rudbeckie, barberry, ajuga, Joe-Pye weed, sunflowers, alchemilla, and spirea. A fenced cutting garden allows for fresh cut flowers to be used in arrangements around the interior of the home.
