Mariani Landscape Hosts Hinsdale Garden Walk on July 16
Mariani will host a free garden tour to the public showcasing the charming landscapes of three Hinsdale residences from 2pm to 5pm on Friday, July 16. The tour’s media partner is West Suburban Living Magazine, a publication serving the western suburbs of Chicago for 15 years.
“Mid-July is the perfect time of year to showcase these three exquisite Hinsdale-area gardens,” says Mariani Landscape’s Carrie Woleben-Meade. “The gardens will be in peak condition and show visitors new ways to extend their living space outdoors.”
The three private, Hinsdale-area gardens include:
An Outdoor Oasis
An eclectic yet traditional home features a display garden showcasing sweeping borders of vibrantly colored perennials and roses. A series of patios complement the home’s architecture and create outdoor rooms overlooking rear gardens to seamlessly blend formal and
informal design.
A Take on Tradition
A traditional English-style home, showcases formal gardens with geometrically designed boxwood patterns and a sprawling turf lawn. A charming cottage at the rear of the home is highlighted by a vegetable garden featuring lemon and pear trees, tomatoes and cutting flowers.
Old World Charm
This Euro-style garden also functions as a practical yard suitable for entertaining and family activities. A raised stone terrace offers entertaining space and a wisteria-covered pergola transitions to the yard. A sunken garden features angular hedges, gravel pathways, a cutting garden and an illuminated fountain to create a one-of-a-kind environment.
The tour, which is open to the public, is from 2pm to 5pm on Friday, July 16.
