Hear from Mariani Landscape’s Shannon Mitchell on “Environmental & Health Benefits of a Chicago Hospital Rooftop Park & Garden” at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo at Navy Pier on Thursday, October 1 at 10:30am. The session will tell the story of a garden three stories above a dense urban neighborhood that rose above multiple obstacles, of hospital administrators, staff and benefactors dedicated to improving the quality of life for some of the most vulnerable members of Chicago’s Southwest Lawndale Neighborhood.
