History

Family-run since the beginning, Mariani Landscape has grown to be one of the largest landscape design, installation and maintenance firms in the country.

Italian immigrant Vito Mariani founded Mariani Landscape in 1958 to provide landscape maintenance services to residents of Chicago’s North Shore. After becoming ill 14 years later, his son Frank took over the business. Under Frank’s leadership, together with landscape architect John Mariani and client representative Vito Mariani, Mariani Landscape has grown to be one of the largest landscape design, installation and maintenance firms in the country. Frank Mariani, Jr. continues the family tradition as the first member of the third generation to join the organization.

Today, Mariani Landscape designs, installs and maintains residential and commercial properties throughout the Chicagoland area, the Fox Valley and Southern Wisconsin. We have recently designed and installed several healing gardens for healthcare clients, as well as rooftop gardens and green roof projects in urban environments.

In addition to our headquarters in Lake Bluff, we have a facility in Hinsdale to serve our west and southwest suburban clients.
